HomeEd regularly reviews the rent rates that comparable properties in the area are charging, and our rents will at most be in line with these rates. There is no income maximum for Market Rate renters.

SUBSIDIZED
Subsidized Rental Rates
Household size and income determine whether tenants are eligible for subsidized units, which include lower rent through our Rent Subsidy Program.

ELIGIBILITY
Who qualifies for the Rent Subsidy Program?
Our Rent Subsidy Program provides below-market rents to eligible tenants. Eligibility is based on your household size and annual income at the time of application.
HomeEd utilizes the City of Edmonton's annual income threshold by household size.

The process to apply for a subsidized unit is the same as our process for market-rate units.
INCOME DECLARATION
All household income must be declared
We require evidence of income to determine your eligibility to rent our units. HomeEd requires that all incomes (from all household members) be declared upon application and/or renewal.
Income is a determining factor in whether you are eligible to rent a Subsidized Unit.
Applying For a Subsidized Unit
The process to apply for a subsidized unit is the same as our process for market rate units. Follow these three steps to apply for a specific HomeEd rental property.

2. Request a Viewing
Fill out a quick form to request a viewing at a time that works for you.
3. Leasing Review
A Leasing Specialist will contact you to confirm your
viewing time and answer any questions.
