Paying Your Rent
Your Residential Tenancy Agreement (lease) identifies your required monthly rent payment. Rent is due in full on or before the first day of every month. Acceptable forms of payment include automatic bank withdrawal or a money order payable to "The City of Edmonton Non-Profit Housing Corporation" or "HomeEd".

Late or Unpaid Rent
You are required to pay your rent in full on or before the first day of the month unless some other arrangement has been made in advance with the Landlord. Late or partial payment of rent is a breach of the Residential Tenancy Agreement and will result in you receiving a Notice of Termination of Tenancy.
Crime-Free Multi-Housing Program
HomeEd is proud to offer tenants a variety of properties certified under the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program initiative of the Edmonton Police Department. This program involves Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design to deter illegal activity from rental properties, resulting in a safer, more habitable environment for all residents.

Maintenance & Upkeep
Our tenants take pride in their homes, and maintenance and upkeep are a shared responsibility. HomeEd maintains the building, grounds, and common areas, while the tenant's responsibility is to keep their home clean, safe, and in a reasonable state of repair.
